Student Performances
A passionate and dedicated music educator, Ms. Jin is the Director of Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra , Chamber Strings Music Camp, and Vivace Music Competition. Ms. Jin named as grand prize winner of Philadelphia Youth Orchestra's 2016 Ovation Award for inspiration and outstanding leadership in music education. Ms. Jin's students won the top prizes in the competitions, performed in Carnegie Hall, Kimmel Center, made National Youth Orchestra ( NYO & NYO2) and NAfME All-National Honor Orchestra, All- East Honor Orchestra, All State Honor Orchestra.
Jennifer teaches young and adult students at all levels. Her extensive teaching experience includes private cello lesson, group class, chamber ensemble coaching and educational presentation. With a thorough understanding of each student, Jie then designs diverse teaching methods to suit the different needs of the students. Only with solid technique training, may people play music expressively and present their personal musical understanding freely. Thus, Jennifer is dedicated to provide a systematical and effective technical training. Meanwhile, Jennifer encourages students to express themselves creatively and enthusiastically through music.
With the emphasis on musical understanding and technical training, Jie has helped many students to pursue their ideals and musical dreams. Her sunny personality and profound teaching experience has earned her great love from her students.
Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra
Established in 2013, Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra offers unique, intense, productive, intimate music training program for the string instrument players for age 8-18. Our program is proud of offering smaller ensemble setting to develop the students’ musicianship and communication skills and to make music thoughtfully with the professional, experienced, devoted, nurturing performing artists and teachers in the region.
